So last night @neo queried about additional icons and I thought that would not be a bad idea. So I found this react-emojione - npm which looked like it ticked all the boxes, so I then installed this package
BUT BEFORE I DID ANY OF THIS I HAD ALREADY DONE THE STEPS HERE:-
About the UD Development category
Then literally all I had to do was the following in the components JSX file was import it:-
import Emojify from ‘react-emojione’;
//Then change the return bit too:-
return (
<Emojify style={{height: this.props.height, width: this.props.width}}>
< span >{this.props.emoji}</ span >
</ Emojify>
);
Literally thats all there was too it…It took me way more time copying and pasting all the possible emoji icons into the validate parameter set in the function calling this. Anyways I hope this inspires other people to find react components and convert them to be used in UD. I have placed this on the marketplace and powershell gallery PowerShell Gallery | UniversalDashboard.UDEmoji 1.0.0 have fun and let me know if I can explain anything better as it is brief I know. Thanks
P.S please note extra spaces in the html jsx code needed to display the span tag and emoji closing tag else this was invisible
