No page found without / at the end of the instance

Does anyone know how to get the root of the website without the / to go to the home page?

Setup:
Create a dashboard at “/” path.

Visit: https://dev.servername.com/psuSandbox/
Result: Success

Visit https://dev.servername.com/psuSandbox
Result: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
