GIT separated installed?

Got latest PSU 2.5.3 and we are using git in PSU.
If I download and install GIT on the side is it updating the GIT that PSU are using? I’m guessing that PSU has GIT built in and I can’t find which version of GIT PSU are using.

I’m hoping you understand.

We don’t use the git executable directly. We are using this version: NuGet Gallery | LibGit2Sharp 0.27.0-preview-0034
