Tool: Visual Studio Code

My company has moved to using a program called Venafi CodeSign Proect. Since this has rolled out I am no longer able to sign on save in VS Code. Set-AuthenticodeSignature works fine from a terminal. However from VSCode it throws an error “Private Key Access Error” with a bunch of XML Data.
This one I am at a loss on as I am not sure how to troubleshoot it further. Especially as I have no access to how Venafi is configured.
Any thoughts?
