Made a new script
script is just a simple “get-service”
when i run the script i get this error:

1.5 doesn’t create the files if it doesn’t need to so you’ll see less file by default than in 1.4.

What’s a little strange is that it’s attempting to launch the job as another user but you don’t have any variables defined so I don’t know how you would be selecting alternate credentials. You’re just invoking this in the Admin Console?

yes.
from the admin console -> scripts ->add new script -> edit the script and just typed get-service saved the script and try to run.

Tried with other scripts that i had laying around. still no luck

Update:
I have created a credential variable in the vault and when executing the script with the “run as” and select the that user, it works.

Update:
Solved by upgrading to a newer version. Did a clean install (deleted UniversalDashboard and Universal Automation folders from program data)

I hate to bring an old post like this up, but the described problem is happening to me.

PSU 1.1.15 (been through upgrades)
Service hosted (with domain service account setup)
Windows 2019 server

I’m trying to execute a script and am met with error:

Error executing job: Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'value')

This was trying to just utilized the Default entry in the run as box when starting it. I tried mihai’s recommendation and setup a credential secret for the service account but the error is the same.

This is due to an old appsettings.json being used. You need to add these to your appsettings.json.

That fixed work for that error, now i’m met with:
Error executing job: A required privilege is not held by the client.

I assume you are trying to run as another user for that script? This error typically happens when either the service account or the run as account don’t have their privileges added. That said, since this worked before I’m surprised that you are getting this error.

Can you just verify that that’s the case?

That was it. could have sworn i had set those settings up, but that might have been in the lab. This is our first testing and implementation of the automation section in production
