Issues with Git Synchronization and central database in powershell universal

Hello everyone,
I’m currently encountering an issue with powershell universal where one of my deployed machines is not synchronized with git repository.
both servers are supposed to sync their configuration through central sql database , and they share identical settings. However , one of the servers syncs while the other fails with error: “Git synchronization failed. Path ‘C:\programData\UniversalAutomation\Repository’ doesn’t point to a valid Git repository or workdir”.
The problematic server has the correct path and permissions and the settings are identical on both servers, the SQL database is also accessible and working fine.

has anyone experienced a similar issue or have an insight on what could be wrong and how to resolve it?
Thank you in advance
