Help with update-uddashboard and certificates

hi all-

does update-uddashboard work with certificate / https sites?

i start the site fine with start-uddashboard but it’s throwing an error when i use it:

Invoke-RestMethod : The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.
At C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules\UniversalDashboard\2.5.3\UniversalDashboardServer.psm1:1417 char:3

Any ideas or is this not supported? Works fine when not using a certificate.
