$User automatically displaying in header - 2.9.1?

Product: PowerShell Universal
Version: 2.9.1

Heyas,

Just upgraded to 2.9.1 and noticed $User appearing at the right of the header bar? Previously I was adding a UDChip to the -HeaderContent that contained $User. That still appears along with the default light/dark icon but have been pushed to the left by an h6 of $User…

Is this something new that I can switch off in 2.9.1?

Cheers!
Steve.

As a hacky fix I created a style_changes.css scripts, threw it into an “assets” published folder and targeted the last element in the header divs - setting display: none;

#app > div > div > header > div > h6:last-child {
	display: none;
}

(and adding -Stylesheets @("/assets/style_changes.css") to New-UDDashboard)

We don’t have an option to disable this. It’s funny because the fact it was missing was opened as a bug but now I can see it might be a feature :wink:

I’ll open an issue to add an option to remove it.

lol - ah I should’ve mentioned this is with Windows Auth, hosted IIS. Will be handy to switch off, for me anyway as I prefer the look of a UDChip showing the user’s photo and name :slight_smile:

It looks like you fixed this on version 2.10. But I’m using 3.2.0 (UD module version is 4.2.0) and don’t see a way to implement this. Am I missing something or is this only a v2 enhancement?
